Version 3 on its way.... No really

I know i have said it before, but after a lot of months of trying to get V3 out for little to no money I decided it was time to get serious about it and hire some more out side help. After about a month of looking i finally found the devs i want to handle the new project and took out my first big loan for 2old2play. We got the kinks ironed out and i believe they finally see my vision for what i want 2old2play to be. This includes a ton more clan control, easier to use nav, WAY less bugs, and a steady foundation to build new features like player created tournaments for clans and much more.

I'm both really excited and really scared, but i can't wait to see how it all turns out. I hope you guys like the new design as much as i do and even more so the new functionality and direction we are going with 2old2play. News should be much better, reviews should be based on the sites overall opinion, and clans should have the freedom they always needed to run their groups without my help. I look forward to having more information as it comes up and sharing it all with you. Here's to the future. Thanks for all those that have given 2old2play the support it needs to stay online and at the top of the older gamer community.

Wow. You must've gone to the MS school of announcement making.\r \r Promise lots of cool new stuff but give absolutely no indication when if ever it will actually come out.\r \r \r LOL\r j/k Look forward to the new design.

What i have learned from MS and other companies is that giving a date is almost suicide. So far things just haven't worked out. \r \r I'm trying to keep upbeat about it, but I don't want to jinx it with a date. Especially now that my credit, cash, and lively hood are now on the line.

 ya, the last date given was before ChiLan 2009 :)\r \r Not that i'm faulting anyone for missing it, i know it's a shit ton of work. I'm involved now with a web startup so i have a new found respect for how much work goes into sites like this.\r \r This site keeps truck'in along though aside from the rare hack attack. So i look forward to seeing the new site someday but this site still works fine for the most important thigns like blogs and forums.\r \r It sucks that you had to spend so much you needed a loan but when the site gets to the complexity level we're at now, it's important to get teh right people on board to help. So i hope it all works out and is worth the investment.

Yeah, site lan and pretty much everything else has to take a back seat to this. I want to make sure its done right and as close to what i envision as possible. Like tank said, the site has grown so big (and messy) over the years there is a fuck ton of work that needs to be done with data migration, design, and function.

Taking out a loan for a donation based site? That's commitment. All you people out there that use the site consistently, think it's kick ass, then sign up for the SCC donations. It's $5/mo and you can set it up to go automatically through paypal. Who can't spare $5/mo? Get to it people!
