Update - Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

My friend ended up using his "ringer" lifeline - one of the research editors at Mental Floss magazine and I can't say I blame him.

The entire process was interesting.  Yesterday morning I received a conference call from a studio page letting me know that my friend was going to be on the show and that I should be ready on a land line. I listened to the rules along with the other lifeline folks for my friend.

Later that day I received a call from them again to let me know that my friend was in the hot seat and I could receive a call at any minute.   It was nerve racking, I can't imagine how he felt playing the game.

I received a third call and my heart skipped a beat - I had Google, Wikipedia and Yahoo Reference ready to go and I answered the phone only to hear them say that my friend had used one of the others and I was done for the day.   I would not be lying to say I was relieved to hear that.

So now we have to wait until the show airs sometime next year. My friend is not allowed to say anything about the show until then so we all have to wait until the show airs to know how he did.

He also has to wait until 30 days after the show airs to receive any money he might have won.  I'll be sure to let you know what happens.
