Disclaimer: What you are about to read may contain personal views or opinions about beliefs that you may not agree with. For some people this may be considered offensive. This is NOT an attack on YOUR personal beliefs, just my own thoughts. They may suggest that I am confused. This assumption is correct. I am utterly confused about the following subject; however, I am working through my own theories and seeking a solution/answer that is logical to me. I do not need YOU to guide me toward the light…. your light may not be my own. 


 


 


I had a very interesting evening.  (LOL, for all you fucknuts out there, I will  "remember the art of paragraph-Baine").  I met with a friend of a friend this evening and had my past lives read. I have been soul searching for quite sometime now, because I am simply not one of those people that will automatically believe something just because it is written in a book and it is shoved in my face. I question everything, and always have. In fact I almost envy those who have such blind faith in something just because they were raised to believe that way. I wish it were that simple for me, but it just isn’t. 


 


The experience this evening was mind blowing. The process is ultimate relaxation. Guided meditation. I haven’t felt that calm....hmmmm ever. The woman guiding me did, not “tell” me what my past lives were, she lead me through a series of meditational exercises to achieve a sort of spiritual state. At that point, I was left to receive whatever images, if any, were out there. The images were brief almost like a snapshot frozen in time that flashed in front of your mind for only an instant. During that moment, I could feel emotions. They were over whelming. To make a long story short…if that is in fact possible for me…I was emotionally drained. Overall it was a very positive experience for me. I recommend it, for those who are open minded about the universe.


 

Now if you will excuse me I am going to catch up on the forum and go blow the fuckling shit out of something…

Belief is all about choice. My parents may have raised me to believe in something, but ultimately its my choice to either go a different path or keep believing what they chose.\r \r Glad you had a good experience.\r \r Do you practice any kind of zen meditation or relaxation stuff? a friend of mine is showing me some cool buddhist meditation stuff.

I find very few people accept things with 'blind faith'. Usually in everyone's life there is a time of questioning; with some people it is a longer and/or deeper period than others. A faith, any faith, that has not been tested and tried by doubt, by seeking for answers, is not worth much. Usually it takes a serious life shaking expierence for an individual to start questioning; before that we are quite satisfied to remain in our mundane exsistances and shrug off anyone who can't or won't see things our way. I have always seen doubts as the beginning of a path to refining of my faith. \"In fact I almost envy those who have such blind faith in something just because they were raised to believe that way.\" I saw that almost! ;)

So...were you anyone notable or famous in your past life? \r \r I think I was once either Lao Tzu or Groucho Marks...\r \r ...either way I know I had a mustache.\r \r Sounds like it was worth it just for the relaxation technique.
