Ultrasound
My wife and I went for our first ultrasound this morning (12 weeks). We won't get the official results for a few days but everything looked really good. We saw two arms and two legs and a beating heart!
It was the strangest feeling... sitting there with my wife while we watched the monitor to see our little one. It made the whole experience very real for me.
We got a small picture of the baby through the ultrasound. I was thinking of blowing it up to a portrait size. Has anyone had any experience blowing up an ultrasound picture? Is the quality good enough to blow it up to say approximately 5x7?

Congrats again imcndn! These are awesome moments for you and your wife to share. Don't forget them. My wife photocopied ours and started a scrap book with all that stuff in it. Now three kids later we have like 10 scrap books. hehe But she enjoys it and it's fun to look through from time to time.

I remember going through this; I was a nervous wreck. But, when each son was born, man was it worth it! There's not too many times one gets a chance to witness a miralce; child birth is one of them. \r

Congratulations! Didn't blow up the U.S. pic, so don't know much about that. \r

But I did do an at home birth and it was awesome! It's nice being able to remember everything from the whole delivery, since I wasn't doped up on drugs. :) \r

And Lady; as for old school, my family thought I was crazy for doing an at home birth. As if women have always only given birth in hospitals! :)
Congrats!! The 20 week one is the really cool one. There you can see everything, and it's all in one shot. The ones that are later (and you may not have any later ones if things go smoothly) are too grainy and you can't see everything in one shot. Again: good luck! (my wee girl is 10 weeks old now: they grow so fast!)
