This weekend, I started reading a book that someone at work loaned me a long time ago and i am just now getting around to reading. Turtledove's "Worldwar: In the Balance".

-it's the first book in a series of four books. The premise is that an alien race decides to invade us right in the middle of WWII. They have better equipment but they don't realize just how damn good the human race is at war and destruction. i'm about halfway through this first book and really enjoying it so far. It's a bit ridiculous premise-wise, but a very entertaining read so far. Has anyone else read this series?

It is an enjoyable read. He did a second series on this as well.

He has a whole bunch of alternate history series. I remember reading one (can't remember which one) and it was an engaging read.
