Trash Talkers and YOU

The Setup:

So I was playing the Halo 3 Beta last night and there was a guy who was ranked higher than me and was probably a better player.  It was a Slayer game and he was the first to 25 kills.  However I was second with 16 kills on the map.  14 of those 16 where against him.  So basically he was a better player but every time we went head to head I owned him.  This lead to some good ole fashion trash talking.  After the game i trash talked him a little more over xbox live.  Nothing horrible just trash.  After that I sent him another message that said I was just playing and GG followed by a friend invite.  Of course the guy never accepted it, but my question is: If you get into a heated trash talking session during an online game do you ever want to play with them again?
