Well after working hands on with V3 for the last 2 weeks I have decided that in all likely hood we will be ditching the old forums and leaving them here on V2. It simply slows things down way to much to try and make sure every post, thread, and reply is in the right place at the right time and since the forums are what has been causeing about 90% of the delay on V3 I think its best to just start all over again.


Now this doesnt mean people will be losing their forums. Instead it simply means that a legacy copy will be saved here on V2 as READ ONLY for people who want to come back and check out their old posts. This should give me the time to release V3 much much earlier to the public and tweek settings at a faster pace . I'm pretty bummed it didn't work out a lot cleaner, but 5+ years of data over so many version of the site has just left things in a mess. I should be able to move over most PMs as well, but I'm honestly thinking it isnt work it either. Lord knows I don't want to get an ID wrong and have a personal PM end up in someone elses inbox. Stories and Blogs should be fine though but im beginning to wonder if it isnt best to just become the new 2old2play.


In any case, I'm just about done with the internal tweeks so really all that is left is speed enhancement and launch. It looking like this could be our best 2o2p yet and pretty excited to share it with you all. Clans should be happy to see all the new found power they have and I cant wait to see what they do with their home pages, events, and tournaments.

You're rapidly running out of excuses for V3 delays, Doodi. \r \r 1. Indian developer mishaps - \"Fired them\"\r 2. Forum complexity - \"Fuck it\"\r 3. Dog ate v3?\r \r I guess there's always WoW.

Awesome.. Who really gives a fuck about post counts and all that anyways. Starting fresh will be kind of cool. Get rid of a lot of clutter. Hopefully things will be a lot more streamlined.

Jeezuz, Doodi but you are a God!!!! \r \r Well, maybe the older members can be granted a demigod stat at the get go of V3 that would allow them...um...3 wishes, or a geni in a lamp, or a wand with a star and ribbons or a My Little Pony or...a huge bottle of Jack Daniels. \r \r You know, something that just identifies that they had put in the time and pain over us newbies who could all start as...recruits or peasants or...something. Surely a fresh rank system would work okay wouldn't it?\r \r I wouldn't have a prob with that. I mean if they earned it why not get to keep it? If they can be granted a new rank at launch that identifies them and gives them some recognition then why not start fresh with a rank system and a new count and not have to transfer anything over from V2?\r \r Possible Doodi?\r \r
