Top 25 Sex Scenes of All Time
Sex in movies is often reduced to mood lighting, soft pop music, a bed, partial disrobing and some hazy camera work. (On the other hand, of course, there's porn.) But when a movie gets a sex scene RIGHT, the result isn't just titillating; it can be tender, awkward, kinky or passionate, and frequently all of those things at once.
Many times, these scenes leave indelible memories for those that have viewed them.
My morning radio show was covering this topic this morning, but, I found their list to be pretty weak, so I augmented it with choices of my own.
Not a full 25, probably closer to 15.
15. Skin Deep - John Ritter. Blake Edwards. Glow-in-the-dark condom sword fighting. 'Nuff said.
14. Risky Business - Look past the fact that it is Tom Cruise. Rebecca De Mornay was smoking back then (and still is now!). 2 scenes stand out. The leaves blowing into the room when she enters and then them on the staircase. And of course, the train scene.
13. Mulholland Drive - David Lynch, Naomi Watts, and Lara Harring. Lesbian sex! ZOMFG BBQ!
12. The Color of Night - Jane March and Bruce Willis. The movie sucked, but the sex was hotter than hell. Ladies get to see a shot of Bruce's Willy.
11. Desperado - Salma Hayek, Salma, Salma, Salma... Did I mention Salma? Steamy!
10. Body Heat - Kathleen Turner and William Hurt sizzled up the big screen in this movie. A defining movie for sex scenes for a 10 year old (my age at that time).
