Took the HDTV plunge last night.

Found a damn good deal at Circuit City for a 27" LCD for $399.99. With tax it ended up being about $428.99.

Got it all hooked up last night and I have to say....SUH-WEEEEEEET. I was very surprised from the brand...because I had never heard of it.

Its  not the greatest, but for $400 you can't beat it. And the picture quality is damn good. My only complaint is the the built-in speakers sound like old PC speakers. But hey...thats what my Sony 5.1 Surround Sound Stereo is for. :)

Im only having 1 problem with it as far as setting up/configuring. I can't get my 360 to show up when I hook it up through VGA. Perhaps since it goes to 1080i, I need to adjust the 360 to 720p with the component cables and then swap to the VGA cable....who know. I'll get it figured out.

But Gears looks fucking incredible. I can't wait to see Bioshock, Mass Effect and Halo 3 on dis bitch. WOOOOOO!

Once I played Gears on my husband's HDTV - it became my HDTV....lol

Most common issue with getting it to display in HD is making sure the small button ON the cables is set to HD.

Olevia Tv's are starting to grow in the market. They have very good hdtv's for the price.

KD - there is no switch the on the VGA cable to set it to \"HD\". There is on component...which I set to HD before I hooked it up. Component shows up fine. But VGA doesn't display at all.

Welcome to the club! Like when you first got broadband over dialup, now that you have High Defination, you will NEVER go back.

Gatsu, have you tried changing the output on it? maybe the componen are the default, just got to change it to vga display?\r \r Nice set!!

yeah I did change the output to VGA as well. Went I set the Output to VGA or VGA/Component, I get nothing.\r \r

yeah i play my 360 on a 27 inch dell lcd, and in 720p its is absolutely sexy\r congrats on the purchase, it was wise
