Thoughts on current trends
I don't really blog often. I don't have that much to say when I start to write generally. Also, I'm a terrible writer.
That said, I have thoughts on the new TOS and whatnot. It's been said and I'll repeat it again I suppose. The basic idea of the new TOS is to give people who act like douchenozzles a kind of passive or indirect warning not to continue said douchenozzly behavior. (This is my interpretation anyway) You can pick at the Battlefield forum flamewar, Caesar's publicly disapproving of his perceived treatment - which by the way I have no opinion of one way or the other seeing as it's none of my business and I don't care to make it so. I joined 2o2p in June of '05 and now don't even recall how I heard about it. I had gotten my fill of screamy kids and overly opinionated assholes on XBL and this was/is a safe haven from that behavior. Mostly. The occasional bad apple or just conflict of personalities happen, but I find they're all fleeting and hopefully the latest will go away as well.
Bottom line though. It's still a great community. I'm still dedicated to it and constantly tell people to join. I'm still going to be the same quasi-irreverent jackass I've always been, and work under the assumption that no one ever takes my joking too seriously. If they ever have or do it's always been and can be worked out quickly.
