The return of the 360

Well, Dastard got a call last night from UPS saying they have a delivery that requires a signature.  Hmm, that sounds suspiciously like code for "MY 360 is coming home!" W00bity, W00t!  I'm taking a half day off to be home for its arrival.  The sad news is that we don't have a connection to live for it in the bedroom (its new home) yet.  Overall, it took a total of 10 days to send it in and get it back.  That is much sooner than I thought.  Now my next goal is to compile all the equipment I need to get the system travel worthy.

Other news, I went to the doctor yesterday to look at my lovely multi-colored bruise and get his opinion on how it is healing.  Everything looks to be right on target.  It will take another couple weeks at the least for the muscle to get back to normal, but I can start walking again and doing light work.  He did suggest that I get padding for that area (for the next two-three months) when I go back to working with the filly in case she kicks again.  If that spot were to be reinjured, there could be dire consequences.  So, I'm looking at getting some football thigh pads.  IF I should get kicked again the pads will help disperse the force and not cause as much damage.  Other than that I just need to watch what I do so as not to overstrain the muscle and potentially cause calcification of that area.  Not good=surgery.  I am all for avoiding surgery.  The doc also related a story to me of another of his patients who was also on coumadin.  She got in a car accident and had a major bruise and hematoma (blood clot) AROUND her leg.  She bled so much (into the hematoma) she became anemic and had to have a transfusion.  So, I consider myself lucky that the bruise is no worse than it is and I'm healing.

It could be worse.  I'm thankful it isn't and life is good.

Keep on Go!

Glad to hear you are mending well. Obviously staying out of kicking range would help!\r \r Question, in your last blog and here you mentioned traveling after classes end. Vacation?

No, work. My office was generous enough to keep me close to home so I could attend classes, but now it's time to get caught up on some of the assignments that the others are too busy to catch. My turn.

Well good luck! Business travel can sometimes be a pain but, if you're lucky, you get see and experience things you would otherwise never be able to.

Congrats on the return of your 360! And even more for the healing of your bruises... avoiding surgery is always a very worthy goal in my book!\r \r M-\r

You are standing at the wrong end of the horse. Nothing fun happens back there.
