The new panhandling?

So I was at the gas station tonight when a beat-up F150  rolled into the pump next to me. Nothing to strange right? Well I've seen this gray pickup before, hauling the same 2 early 20 somethings. I saw what was coming a mile away.

The guy gets out and starts asking people if he can get a couple of bucks. He's far from home, the tanks empty, blah blah blah. This is the fourth time I've seen this kid. He gives me a sob story about how his car is in the shop for an alternator and he had to borrow his girlfriends (she's driving) dads v8 truck. Instead of calling this kid out I say I don't carry cash, and now I'm regretting it. I should have told him to get a job, read a book (how to change an alt in a car) or just to suck it. I'm almost certain that I'll see this kid again, in fact I'm going to be looking for him.

If anybody is buying booze or drugs with my money it's gonna be me!

Probably best you didn't say much, people with F-150's in my area normally have shotguns hanging in the back window.

The more creative ones carry a milk jug or something around that has \"Gas\" written in marker on the side. I respect the effort.

I got hit up four seperate times with a similar story in the parking lot at my wife's old work. Usually it was a well dressed man or woman saying how they needed money for just enough gas to reach for a job interview. \r \r Same story every time, just a different person. \r \r I asked my wife's co-workers and they had all had the same thing happen to them repeatedly as well...
