More details available at www.ironmaiden.com, including cities and dates.  The article also mentions Maiden's newest album to be released at the end of the summer, "The Final Frontier".

Now call me a pessimist, but when a group's members are in their mid-50s (with the drummer pushing 60) and after 30 years of recording their next album has the word "Final" in its title...I'd say its a good idea to see them live when you have the chance.

There's a good possibility I'll be making the drive from NC up to DC for that show. I've been wanting to see these guys for a long time, but it seems like they spend way too much time over in Europe touring and rarely come to the states.

Yeah, they do mostly European festivals anymore but they will probably do a bigger tour after the tour supporting the album. I'm guessing it will be some kind of a farewell tour. Ugh. Can't imagine music without Maiden being around anymore.

It's been many years since I've been to a concert, but I think I'll make an exception in this case.\r It will be kinda weird not being trashed, but at least I'll remember all of it ;)
