My debut on XBL was very humbling.  I played some rumble pit and slayer games and got PWND!  I think out of three separate games I got 1 kill.  This was not what I had imagined.  BTW, I was playing Halo 2.  So, to give myself some leeway, I just started playing the actual single player game earlier yesterday and was not familiar with all of the differences between the first and second game.  I can see I need some more practice.  Soup is gathering some generous souls to go online with me today and give me some pointers, which I desperately need. 

But, the one thing I have gathered from this initial experience is that much time will be needed at practice.  No, I'm not discouraged, just seeing the big picture and how XBL will be able to fit into my schedule right now.  But, I can also see why this site is so important.  I could easily get discouraged playing with these children and not want to continue to play.

Countdown 2:  9 days left.

I'm working on my Monday rant. I see too many headlines about "deniers" in the news, whether it is related to the Holocaust or Global Warming.

Glad to see came out of your games with a good attitude though. It takes time to get comfortable in MM, I first tried a year ago on my boys tag that was a 22 rank,ouch! That was not a good start but there are people here to help you get better. There are a lot of things you can be taught that would take a lot of wasted time to learn on your own. Aka: we can shorten your learning curve and up your fun factor! :)

Any time, actually i think i almost like teaching then actually doing sometimes......

Hey, I still suck at Halo2 MP! :) I never had the benefit of this group when i started playing and so I think that took the fun out the game and my desire to do better. Then when I did join this group Gears was released. I still play H2 now and then, but I still suck. Its great, somebody has to die right?:)
