Sympathy for Female gamers
Since the launch of Halo3 I have been playing a lot of Matchmaking with the general Live population and because of my femine sounding gamertag, add in my trademark violet armor and the fact that my regular double team partner is female I get to receive a general idea of what a female gamer has to deal with in live.
The Halloween playlist was a particularly effective window into your world of live harrasment. A typical lobby goes something like this. "Hey Dawnfades can I get a blow job?" being screeched at me by pre-pubscent slugs. If I don't respond immediately it usually leads to a mixed chorus of insults and sexual propositions. I usually respond by saying "little boy, you're not my type" Sometimes it shut's them the hell up , but it also lets the timmie fall back on another of their old favorites homophobia. I can only imagine how unrelenting they must be when they are taunting an actual female player.
These continual propositions and gender insults bother me mainly in the fact that female players have to be subjected to them. It's not that big of a deal for me, personally to hear and put up with them. I do always speak up when actual female players are in a room and are suffering abuse from these idiots.
Once again you ahve my sympathy and I hope Halloween was just an unusally bad bad due to all of the Timmies being on a sugar high.
