Stress Fracture

Well, I had hip pain prior to running in Orlando.  I ran the marathon at a respectable 4:14 (2 minutes from a PR).  I took two weeks off.  My lower right hip continued to hurt and it came roaring back when I ran a total of 13 miles over the weekend.

My local radiologist recommended an MRI prior to the marathon and I lay on the table in the tube Monday morning to find that I did indeed have a stress fracture in my inferior pubic ramus.

So, for now, no running for at least 2 weeks, probably more like 4-6.  Which is disappointing, but I don't have any plans at the moment for a race.  On the upside, my pain is getting better, with (relative) rest, I still stand and walk much of the day.
