Still Working

Its been a while since the site has had a release of any new features, so I just wanted to give everyone an update.  Since the loss of Dsmooth to WoW, it has been a lot harder to actually get things done on the site, but in a way I have welcomed it.  I recently have had to learn even more about programming and took on a lot of the features that were started full time.  The clan pages actually almost have their first page ready and the calendar is pretty much done.  I still have to add some features to event submissions, but I think the new addition will do wonders for planning game nights, tournaments, and other site events.

The idea will be to place a mini calendar on the home page that will show off all the different events going on around the site.  Clicking on the event will take you to the calendar page where you can contact the event holder, send them a FR, and so on.  My hope is that we can start building some regular games over the weeks that new people will be able to jump in and meet some 2o2p veterans.

On the home front, I'm still working with Codemonkey on our new side gig and awaiting to go into the design phase which is where I really shine.  As much as programming interests me, I have realized I'm simply not good at it and cant wait for this side job to get me back to my roots.  Hopefully it wont take up to much of the sites time, as I really want to release some sort of clan page feature in the coming new year.  There's never enough time.... Maybe in 2007.
