Spam IM's


So I've been getting a lot of spam instant messages over MSN lately. Here is a sample:

[12:43] julie.x1x@hotmail.com: Hey! 21/f I have cams/pix online at http://privatecamgirl.com if you want to chat sometime!

or

[12:11] niuvusdqjlno@msn.com: hey what's up... i setup a webcam thing in my room i like to chat and get naked..come check it out maybe we can meet up and hang out...i'm waiting..

Sometimes I just close the offending window, but I find it entertaining to respond. Usually it goes like this:

[12:24] Mark: Hey niuvusdqjlno, what's up! I have a webcam too! Mine is at www.tubgirl.com.

(note: lemonparty or meatspin is also used in place of tubgirl for the responses)

I haven't had any responses to my messages back and I doubt I really will. I'm just hoping that someone, somewhere looks over the logs one day and clicks that link.

FYI: It takes like 10 minutes to write an IM robot using a Linux system, and a perl module from CPAN.\r \r Nobody will see them - as the computer that sends them junks responses. :(\r \r CodeMonkey

This happens to me every now and again on YIM. After the spam i just reply with periods or other symbols and \"it\" just keeps messaging nonsense as if i had answer with the expected reply.
