some comfort

I try to stay out of political conversations. I have been participating on bulletin boards long enough to know that 99.999% of the time you aren't going to change anyones views, and on a whole its just not worth the time, the effort, and the emotional baggage it creates. So normally I try to stay semi neutral.

With that said, I had this picture emailed to me. And like a good girl I checked snopes.come to make sure it was true before sharing it. :) I was glad to find out it was a real story. I know that there are many more instances like this that we will never hear about because the media chooses not to share them. This is one of those times I thought it was worth sharing.

Definitely makes a person proud to see the humanitarian side to all of this! Those men have my highest respect with their service and commitment.

I love the picture and story. It hacks me off that we feel that we have to suspect every story, good or bad, that comes out of the media's mouth. Glad to see a good one. Thank you for sharing. Made my day. :)

Its nice to see something positive out of such unnerving acts of violence and cruelty. I hope the girl makes a full recovery and kudos to her Sgt. Hero! :)

Just another notch on the post proving that our service men and women are the finest human beings alive, bar none.

Don't worry, it's real. I received that picture at my AF Reserve job through some co-workers on base. I worked with the soldier in the picture when I was on active duty and it was shared because so many people know him and are in contact with him. He has always been a class act.
