Soccer Dad

It came slowly.  I had to trade in the truck for a 4-door car.  Then I had to take down the beer signs and neon lights.  Next it was trading in the car for a minivan.  And now I've become a soccer dad.  Both of my girls are playing soccer and I think I have officially become the taxi service.  They are so cute and excited about it, so it's worth it.  Practice starts this week and games will start next Saturday.  I'll post an update after their first games.

Welcome to the world of minivans. I actually really like mine now. I wish I could afford a truck and a minivan and life would be good. Good luck with the soccer. My boys just finished up basketball and baseball starts soon. It seems like it never ends.

Thank you, and I'm sure it doesn't. I remember when I was a kid, my brothers and myself were always in baseball, basketball, or football. I don't know how my dad and stepmother kept up. I hope my kiddos get fond memories of playing sports as I did.

Dude, you should have traded in the truck for a bigger truck. You could have been the envy of all the other soccer dads.

Congrats dude! Welcome to the club. :P You get used to the minivan. I coach my daughters soccer and its a blast. Calling it coaching is probably a little generous. At 5 years old its more like standing around while they kick and run. - BAT
