So Long, Farewell...
Hrmmm... So many things ended this past week.
"The Shield", "The Sopranos", the Halo 3 Beta, and the Black Widow in my garage.
Of course, only one of these was by my decision. I fogged my garage on Saturday. No only did it kill the Black Widow, it killed every bug in there. Let me tell ya... there are a lot of bugs in Texas. Time to clean the garage.
Tuesday was the season finale of "The Shield." I've got mixed feelings about it. It wasn't a very climactic season finale, but it set up a lot of tension for next season, which is supposed to be the final season of the series. Hopefully will be a very good season.
"The Sopranos" ended last night, and seems to have left the majority of its fans pissed. I haven't seen the final episode yet, but I have heard all about it. It doesn't bother me to hear the spoilers, I'll still watch the show.
And finally, the Halo3 Beta ended yesterday. Unfortunately, this didn't even register a blip on my radar, as I have been playing Shadowrun non-stop since it's release.
Anyways, death and endings are just one part of the cycle of life. As such, there are new beginnings.
1. TV - "Rescue Me" starts up this week. I'm a dedicated fan of this show, and this season should be a good one.
I've also begun watching "Traveller". Although, it isn't of the same caliber of "24" or "Lost", it'll hold me over until Fall rolls around with the new seasons.
2. Bugs. There are plenty down here in Texas to replace all the ones I killed in my garage. I look forward to fogging it again later this summer.
3. Games - This summer is going to be slow it looks like. With only H2 and Shadowrun to hold me over until fall, I may have to put in some older games I haven't finished yet while I wait for the following to release:
Bioshock (Fall) - A sweet looking FPS which releases in the Fall sometime.
Halo 3 (Sept. 25th) - #1 on my list. September 25th is 2 weeks after my B-day!
Unreal #? (TBD) - Built on the Gears of War engine, this game should look gorgeous, and will hopefully play great as well.
Mass Effect (Fall) - doubtful that this will be multiplayer. But it will be awesome to play, and, I've read the first book that they've released for it.
Assasin's Creed (Fall) - Another RPG-type game. I look forward to spending a lot of time playing this as well.
Huxley (TBD) - MMPOG sweetness. Reminds me of Shadowrun, Gears of War, and Oblivion all mixed together. Can't wait.
So, 5 out of those 6 will most likely release this year. That's $300 that I'll be shelling out, but they all should be worth it!
