So Lately...
...in MM in Halo, it's gotten pretty bad.
Kids quitting out of games as soon as you cap your first flag. I think I've only played 1-2 games to completion in Hardcore that we were winning in the past 2 weeks.
I consider this to be real "Timmy" behavior, and was inspired to create a list. I don't recall if someone has already created a similar list, but this is my list.
Now, just cause you've done a few of these things a couple of times (I know I have), does not make you a Timmy. I'd consider a person a Timmy, or acting like a Timmy if they have done more then 5-10 of these actions.
You Might Be Acting Like A Timmy If...
...you call "I want the sniper", at the start of a game.
...you betray your team mate when he grabs the sniper anyways.
...you quit a Match Making game after the other team caps its first flag.
...after the other team pulls ahead by 6 or more kills.
...after the other team pulls ahead by over a minute on hill or ball.
...you quit a MM game if you don't have host.
...you quit a customs game if you don't have host.
...you second guess or criticize your team mates in the middle of a game.
...you ledge hack the ball on Warlock.
...you super-jump on purpose to give yourself an advantage.
...you challenge anyone on the other team to a 1v1 after losing to them.
...you mod to cheat.
...you stand-bye to cheat.
...you bridge to cheat.
...you cheat.
...when playing mixed customs, you never mix teams up because your team is dominating.
...you complain that host is the only reason the other team won.
...you say that you don't care about host, but grab it every chance you get.
...you leave the room without saying anything, immediately after a loss in a friendly custom game.
...you won't play any other type of H2 customs game that isn't MLG.
...you point your weapon straight up in the air and dance around when your team is losing.
...you give a litany of excuses after losing a customs game: host, not practicing, new team mate, game wasn't important to you, etc...
...you remove people from your friend's list. Not because you need the room. Not because they said something wrong. Because you are bitter you lost to them.
...you wonder aloud why the other team is still playing, even though they can't win. i.e. 2 minutes left in a ball game, but your team is up by 2 minutes and 30 seconds with the ball.
...you yell "Rape" after out-BRing, BXRing, BXBing, etc... another player. Or some other variation of "Rape".
...you tell players on the other team that they "are horrible", after you pwn them.
...you tell players on the other team that they "are horrible", after they pwn you.
...you tell the other team they suck, and other disparaging comments... after your team just beat them.
...you tell the other team they suck, and other disparaging comments... after they have just beaten you.
...you blast rap, hard rock, or any other type of music through your microphone so everyone in the game can hear it. We don't want to.
...you use voice-masking like it was cool. It isn't. Put the lotion in the basket.
...you speak condescendingly to other players in a friendly custom game.
...you lose games on purpose to "de-rank" so that you can pwn lesser-ranked players.
...you brag that you finished 3rd at MLG Nationals in 2005 when you didn't. You aren't even listed as an MLG player.
...you tell the winning team that if your 3 team mates hadn't quit, you would have pwned them.
...you constantly yell out "Double!" after a double-kill. Not so much. Get a Killtac and then maybe...
