Sick and tired of.. well... you know
being sick and tired. Yes I am sick again. Head all stuffy and sore. Throat swollen. Nose gummed up. The only bright side? I slept in until noon, then played a bit of fallout. all in my jammie jams.
soon though I will have to get up and get dressed... and as much as I love Erica to bits, it's hard being"up" for her when I am so down. Not that things are bad, it's just being sick is the suxxors. Do you guys know if anything like echinecia actually works? Anything to prevent sick from happening (other than hand washing and genral hygeine)
let me know...

It must be that cold Canadian air. I've heard there's something you can take when you first start feeling signs of a cold, but I can't remember the name. My mother-in-law, which is who told me about it, is coming in for Thanksgiving. I'll ask her then let you know.\r

For now, my best advice is Nyquil. The nasty green liquid, not the pills. That shit'll cure just about anything, if you can stomach it.\r
\r
A whiskey/honey mixture helps, too, but you always run the risk of drinking a lttle too much, and that will only wind up making you feel worse :)\r

Hope you feel better soon.
I generally get through winter with either not getting sick at all or only getting sick once. Typically i'll take a multivitamin every day to help boost he ol'immune system. Adding a few immune system boosting foods to your diet doesn't hurt either.\r
\r
If i even think i'm starting ot get sick, i'll pop two of them when i go to bed.\r
\r
Generally that keeps me will. If i do get sick i take two at bed and two with breakfast plus a tylenol to break the fever when needed. I can usually get over a cold in a week doing that.\r

AirBorne = No\r

Vitamin C = Maybe\r
\r
Vitamin C. Although vitamin C doesn't appear to prevent colds in most people, taking large doses — up to 5,000 milligrams — at the beginning of a cold may reduce the severity of symptoms. Lower doses — 200 to 300 milligrams — may shorten a cold's duration. Just what constitutes an optimum dose isn't clear, but amounts in excess of 2,000 milligrams a day may cause nausea and diarrhea.\r
\r
If you like N/V/D.\r
\r
Consider chronic sinusitis and allergy syndromes.\r
