Sick and Sore

Well, worked on the linoleum all weekend. I figure I have over 3/4 of the overall area done. The area that faces the carpet is done, as well as all of the dining room, and the majority of the kitchen area. All that is left in the kitchen, is inside the pantry, under the fridge, and under the oven. A lot of that is going to be precise cuts, which is what I mostly did all weekend... precise cutting of linoleum.

Needless to say, I was on my knees and on my ass or hips while measuring, cutting, and installing 98% of the time. So I am massively sore this morning. My hands feel like they could just curl up permanently.

On top of that, thanks to the weather changing down here, I'm getting sick. Oh joy.

We got our new doors installed on Friday, and all I have left to do before the carpet gets installed this friday is lay a down a 9 square foot area of ceramic tile. I'd like to have done the kitchen and dinning room area in ceramic tile, but that would have cost a bundle, and we needed to focus on other areas of the house first.

Anyone ever install ceramic tile professionally?

Picked up a new show this weekend. "Heroes" Totally hooked. It's moved up to #2 on my priority list. #1 is "Lost". I think I understand why "Smith" got cancelled. As a serialized drama, it was really good in my opinion, but it failed to be mysterious.

That's what drives successful serialized dramas in this day and age. The story lines may be long, but the entire story is not given. They are puzzles which draw people's attention. The puzzles usually include a mixture of sci-fi, love, geek, and pure mystery. That's what maintains people's loyalty to the show. The ability of the show to only give out small pieces of the puzzle at a time, enough to bring people back each week, and the puzzle isn't over the top to where people have to suspend disbelief (in regards to shows like "The Nine". Show's like "Lost" and "Heroes" obviously include sci-fi in them, so suspension of disbelief is the norm.).

I'm still watching episodes of "Brotherhood" and I need to catch the last 2 Episodes of "Dexter". I'll get into "Brotherhood" another day.
