Sad day...or night rather...
I have been taking care of a little elderly lady for 6 1/2 years. You can look at some of my earlier blogs about her. She's one of the coolest ladies ever. I just happened upon this particular gig because her neighbors went to the same church as me. It was supposed to be temporary, but turned into permanent.
After a couple weeks of battling a viral infection that caused some respiratory distress...she passed away this evening.
I'm going to miss her. She was spunky, and cute, and tenacious, and a kick in the pants. She put up with my junk, and I always knew she loved me. Her name is Rhoda...her friends called her Rowdy...if that gives you an idea.
Not only do I get to find a new job now...but I have to do it without a person who always gave me good advice...and kept me smiling even tho' I wanted to quit.
Go hug your grandparents, if they're still around...if they're not, then hug the next thing closest to that. Life is too short to waste time.
