Holy shit.
Went to my accupuncturist yesterday and we tried a new technique on me. It's called "Cupping". Basically, the doctor rubs massage oil on my back, and then takes small glass cups/bulbs and heats them on the inside (just the air, not the glass). He then applies the opening of the "cups" to my back, where they suction on to my back.
He then moves them around my back (via the massage oil) while they are still suctioned. This creates a blood flow to the area being suctioned. In essence, my back looks like one huge hickey. It didn't hurt, but it was different, that's for sure.
I got home and showed my wife, and she was like, "WTF!?!?!" I explained it to her, but she was still shocked. I'll try and get some pics today, as the "hickey" isn't going to go away for a couple of days.
