Love me some Robin Williams. On my 30th birthday, my then boyfriend (now husband) took me to the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach to celebrate. Unknown to him, Robin Williams was a surprise act. We were seated right in front of the stage. He even picked up an empty beer bottle off our table to use during his act. He was absolutely hilarious. But what I remember MOST was afterwards, we grabbed a beer outside the club in their bar, and there as a mercedes sedan sitting right outside the entrance that was NOT there when we went in. Sure enough it was his car. He came out with his driver and I was intoxicated enough to walk over to him and thank him for a memorable birthday. He was very pleasant and friendly. I will always remember that.
