Reviews

Well, the regular network TV season is fast approaching its end.  Thought I would share what I'm watching and what I think of them at this point.

1.  Heroes (NBC) - Hasn't been on for a few weeks.  Sweeps week is coming up though, so I expect it to build up to a nice finale.  Ends in May.

2.  Lost (ABC) - *sigh*  It just doesn't hold me like it used to.  They killed off the 2 characters everyone hated, and it felt like they did that for the sole purpose because everyone hated them.  Ends in May.

3.  Jericho (CBS) - Still keeping me and my wife's attention.  Though, I want more information as to what happened and why with the nuclear attacks.  Ends in May.

4.  The Unit (CBS) - Still fun to watch.  Ends in May.

5.  Prison Break (FOX) - I told myself that I was dropping the series if the Season Finale (last night) was crappy.  It wasn't.  I'll give it another 1-2 episodes next season to keep me interested before I drop it.  Over for the season.

6.  Rome (HBO) - Sadly, this series is done and over with.  Possibly one of the best historical series I've seen in quite awhile.  I almost felt sorry for Mark Antony if I didn't know what he really was like.  The actor who played him did so superbly though.  One series I'll seriously miss.  Finished

7.  The Shield (FX) - Another one of my favorite series.  Starts tonight.  Built itself off what "The Sopranos" started and did so on the cable medium.  Starts 04/03

8.  The Sopranos (HBO) - The final 8 episodes.  The series that lay the foundation for other series that pushed the envelope and pushed regular network TV.  Starts 04/08  EDIT:  Sorry.  Sopranos didn't lay the foundation.  "OZ" lay the foundation.  "Sopranos" built upon it.

9.  The Tudors (Showtime) - I haven't watched this yet, though TheMidnighter says I should check it out.  Since he and I have similar tastes ("Rome"), I probably will.  Excerpt:  "In the show, the king mourns the death of his uncle, declares war on France and jumps into bed with two squealing damsels -- in the opening 15 minutes."

Dropped:
The Riches (FX) - I love the concept.  A family of "Travelers" (think Gypsies) assume the identity of a regular (but dead) family.  As much as I wanted to like this show, it just couldn't hold my interest.  There just wasn't enough "meat" to sustain me.  Although, Eddie Izzard delivers a very good performance.

Upcoming:
Rescue Me (FX) - I love this show, and Dennis Leary is great in it.  June
