Resolution in Sight

Maybe.

I can't beleive this. Remember I got rear-ended way back last June? Well, my insurance company and the other guy's insurance company have been going round and round in regards to the money.

It isn't a matter of responsibility. His insurance company accepts full liability. It comes down to pictures. His insurance company requires pictures of my vehicle before repair to justify the payment.

My insurance company claimed that there were no pictures, as they were not required because the vehicle was repaired at an approved repair center.

So, they went round and round since the middle of November over this issue. Finally, my insurance company decided to submit the case to arbitration. Ack. That is going to extend out the resolution of the case another 3 months. Unacceptable.

So, after talking to both companies yesterday (I've been calling both and pushing them at least once a week), a candle went off in my head. (I'd say lightbulb, but in this case, I wasn't too bright).

I called the collision center that repaired my vehicle. I spoke to the manager, who actually remembered me (I called him every week as well) and I asked him if they took pictures. His response: Yes.

Did he have pictures for my vehicle? Yes. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I about blew a stack. Not at him. He told me that an adjustor for my insurance company called and inquired about pictures back in November. The manager told him he had pictures and that if the adjustor would email him, he would email the pictures to him.

The collision center manager never received an email, and the adjustor never called back. What in the Fuck!?!?!?

So, I asked the manager if he would email me the pics. Sure thing he said. Fuck it, I'm cutting out the inept people of my own insurance company.

So, I expect to receive the pics this morning and will forward them to both my company and his company, and maybe we can finally get some resolution to this situation. I have about $3300 awaiting me once everything gets resolved, and I need a new car, so I need that money.

You can bet, that if I receive the pics (I'm not doing anything until I have them in my posession) that I will be calling my insurance company and tearing people new assholes.
