Are completely, and utterly broken.  I finished top 5% in gold last season.  I jumped from top 45, to top 15, to top 5 in three days.  Now it puts me in the middle of silver with a 66% win percentage, and right between 2.25 and 2.5 K/D spread.  I just don't understand it, it's really starting to piss me off.  I play by myself so as to not have any issues with playing with the same people all the time like in Halo 3 that was actually detrimental to your rank....anyways, I'm really disgusted with what they've done.  Perhaps if I keep playing I'll get back to top 5 in gold...but for now, all I am is some dude ranting at his desk with his blood pressure up...HOW bungie is someone with a LOWER win percentage and a LOWER K/D and KA/D ranked a whole division above me?  It makes no frigging since...


 


I am however #49 on the halocharts suporter list...which puts me above ElamiteWarrior...woot woot.  Next pros up to pass are ace, solidus, and cloud on the list...I don't think I'll ever catch strongside at number 4 LOL


 


 


I guess on the plus side, I get to play more people whom I shouldn't....so I guess it's ok.. :)

I'm not into the arena playlist, but from my understanding it has more to do with W/L this season rather than individual rating. So maybe you should find a team. But I could be wrong; like I said, I don't pay too much attention to arena and how it works.

I have a better W/L that the people who play together regularly. It's all janky.

Interesting. I'm sure you'll hit onyx, just go poop on some more bks and/or timmies. If not, heed Wam's advice and have your mom write a nasty letter to bungie.

Hater's gonna hate.\r \r :P\r \r Seriously, though, it's BECAUSE you play by yourself. Rolling as a team, we play other teams, who generally have higher skill as a unit than players rolling solo who are only out for themselves. \r \r If who you beat matters (which is obvious due to the discrepancy between your rank and mine), then we are beating higher skilled players, so our division rank reflects that. \r \r You're beating lower ranked Randys. When we lose, we're losing to Onxy kids, so it doesn't drop us much in gold. \r \r It isn't totally based on W/L. I think it is actually pretty similar to Halo 3's ranking system, it's just hidden. In order to move up, you have to beat higher ranked players. Beating kids who are lower than you doesn't help much.

LOL@las\r \r Day 1,2,3 I was smashing kids who were onyx. The last 2 days, all I was matched against were silver/gold.\r \r It's frustrating as hell...and writing to bungie won't do a damn thing as 343i is in control now ;)

Well if 343 is in control, that explains a lot. I mean, according to their stats, I have over 99k mongoose kills. And people complain that banshees and tanks are overpowered in BTB?! Pffft, they need to cut loose the goose.

This weekend was a farce since the 18k jackpot was in arena. Normal playlist size is around 1200 and over the weekend it was betweek 8-10k.\r \r I'd be willing to bet you got stuck in games with a ton of Randy's looking for the jackpot, which didn't help your rating.\r \r It was suprising how many games we didn't get the bk's.

Don't be mad with silver...you should have been bronze :) I agree with what Phantom & Ghost said...it's who you are getting matched up against

The kids you played the first few days weren't rated yet, so beating them didn't do as much for you as it would if you played them today. I am sure that if you keep playing, you will get to Onyx. \r \r You may consider rolling with a team, though. It increases your chances of playing better peeps.

Yeah, I was playing all Onyx last season...at least this time I have time to work through 2 divisions :lol:
