Rain, Rain, go AWAY!
Someone asked (and I forget who):
Would you rather have 100+ degree weather? or
Would you rather have rain everyday?
Well, back in early June, I would have said rain, as we were in a drought and were on water restrictions.
Now, after almost 2 straight months of rain, I'd rather have 100+ degree weather for the rest of the month.
I mowed my lawn yesterday. Wait, I tried to mow my lawn. I was able to mow the front, and then I tried to do the sides. 1 side was ok, but when I tried to mow the other, it was a swamp. Literally, even with the swamp smell. I did it anyways, and left muddy wheel tracks on that side in the grass. Oh well.
Then, I tried to mow the back yard. Did I mention that I wasn't able to mow the lawn before I went on vacation? Did I mention that it has been raining almost non-stop for the past 2-3 weeks?
Well, needless to say, the grass in the back was VERY TALL. The ground was so saturated with water, that I was leaving muddy footprints and wheel tracks. But, since the grass was so tall, I wasn't able to cut it. Even with my mower at its highest setting, I could barely go a foot without it almost seizing up.
Not sure how I'm going to cut it once it stops raining. And, who knows when that will be, as the next 4-5 days is forecasted for rain each day.
*sigh*
