My 180 gave me the dreaded "Orange Ring of Death" (It used to be Red probably, but it showed orange)
Yesterday around appx. 2:30 PM CST, my Xbox 180 passed away in a squeal of regret. After 2 good years of quality gaming, hundreds of hours, and over 8,400 Halo2 games, it's old, out-dated, hard-drive gave out like a 400 lbs. man's heart after climbing 4 flights of stairs.
I knew it was coming. Everytime I turned it on in the past 3-4 weeks, it struggled to spin up. It whirled and whined like an overworked child-laborer in El Salvador.
Now, granted, good timing allowed me to get a 360 in the last week, but playing Halo2 on the 360 isn't the same. I do notice the emulation lag. I feel like I'm getting 3-shotted a lot now when I'm in one-on-one BR fights.
So I guess I'm going to have to get me another one until they fix the emulation issue. (Already have permission from the wife)
*sigh*
I miss you old friend.
