Quick update

Ok, Megan still MAY or MAY NOT have pneumonia, but the doctor let us come home on a couple of conditions. First, if she gets a fever...hospital. Second, if she doesn't stop choking/ coughing soon...hospital. She vomitted twice, once on the way to the GI doc and once on the way to her regular doctor. So, we need to keep an eye on that too, her cyclic vomitting usually gets triggered when she is sick....again, would mean a trip to the hospital.

On another note, Megan has been able to drink from a sippy cup  for the past couple of years, but now the GI doc wants to schedule another swallow test to see if she should continue doing so. This would be absolutely cruel, if we had to take her sippy cup away. There are few things that Megan can do as any normal child would do. Drinking from a cup is one of them. Pray that the does not fail the swallow test as she has failed the previous tests she was given back when she was an infant. It would break our hearts if we had to keep her from doing something normal.

Unfortunately, no, Soup. They are too far away, and he has burned a couple of bridges in the past, if you know what I mean. \r \r

I empathize greatly Jolly. Having to take care of my own dad (I am an only child) and luckily we were able to find him an assisted living center for the last years of his life. There was no way we had the resources in our current home to give him the care he needed. But, I did have visiting nurses come in (and at the end hospice), it was close to home where I could come in every day and help with his care also, there was staff on hand to make his meals and the state helped pay for it. I had to move him to a nursing home at the very end because he had a Living Will Directive to not use life saving measures to keep him artificially alive and he died less than a week of arriving at the nursing home due to a cancer that had metastasized. It was sad, trying time for me but God granted me the strength to get through it. God Bless You and Stacy during this time and hold your hands as you go through it.
