Proud To Be A Part Of History

Yesterday we all watched history being made.Regardless of your political views, I think that everyone should be proud to be able to witness & experience a huge step in the evolution of America as a whole. For African-Americans this is the realization of a dream. During  Last nights acceptance speech i experienced some of the feelings that I imagine many of the older generation experienced when they watched JFK on the night of his victory. Yesterday also symbolized the passing of the torch to a new generation. Young voters came out in record numbers. I for one am Just glad that I can someday tell thee next generation that I was there when the first African-American was elected president. For the First time America Looked past the black man & saw the American who also happenes to be black.

I don't think anyone on 2o2p is so biased that they would flame this post.\r \r Very nice post. I feel the same way.

Biased political posts can ALWAYS be flamed.

@MikeTheKnife:\r \r I'm pretty sure the only bias in this post is towards all Americans. Not either political party.

Somehow we \"Looked pass the black man\" yet we continue to point out that he is indeed black and pat ourselves on the back for voting him in to office.\r \r Way to move forward America.\r \r The ONLY thing I like about obama is the fact that he is the only person that did not make a big deal out of his being black. I will stop here even though I have a lot to say about this topic. I didn't vote for obama, not because hes black but because I don't like his politics.

+1 Cotter. We were pretty proud of our American friends tue night. Very inspiring. Weather or not people agree with Obama, he has already changed one thing. Never before in US history have more young people and more people in general come out to vote.

I am not proud of how America voted not because Obama is black but because he associates himself with terrorists, racist, religious radicals, and had his education funded by persons from the middle east who are not our friends. If you wished for someone who is not white to win the Presidential Office in order to say we have taken a step forward in racial equality then you should have wrote in the name Colin Powell who is a true American inspiration.
