Postcard From The Abyss

Shit, it's been a while since I'd posted anything. No tales of world travels, no major work achievements - just went rogue for a while. I have a tendency to focus so much outwardly that I often ignore my own needs. Basically, shit grew to a point that I couldn't ignore, got overwhelmed and shut down for a while. Fortunately, my two best friends intervened & knocked the sense in me to ask for help. Long story short, I've been medicated for depression, I moved out of a highly fucked up living situation (a blog entry all its own), and ended a relationship I previously wouldn't admit was going nowhere. I'm in my new apartment now, and my ability to deal with shit is better by far.

I fell behind in my gaming this last couple months. The move fucking drained me (& I had next to nothing to start with). I am mostly playing Defiance, which has grown on me despite its shortcomings. My buddy Dave kept pushing me to at least rent the game, which Redbox didn't carry. He ended up buying & sending me a copy. I've also played a little bit of Tiger Woods 14 and rented Bioshock Infinite a couple nights. I'll get back into my former groove soon enough.

Anyway, gotta get ready for Mothers Day. My mom's coming over to check out the apartment (which I refused to send her pictures of, just so I can see her expression when she does first see it). I'll try not to be such a stranger around here.
