Possible employment change

  As most of you know I have been employed as a janitor/custodian for Brown for over a year.  The pay isn't bad and it has great benefits, but I'm a janitor and it gets rather bland if I must say so.  I might be getting a shoe in at a local landscaping business from one of the guys that works at the same bar as I.  I never really talked to him before because he's a bar back and I'm a doorman.  Of course we don't really work the same days either.  Come to find out we were both bubbleheads in the Navy and he told me about a couple open positions.  If I get the job I will start at about my salary now at Brown.  After a year and if I pass the RI, MA, and CT certification exams, I can move up to $31K a year.  Considering I make 24K a year right now; that would be a nice pay jump for me.  I should find out more Monday and I am hoping they tell me to grab myself some pine Skibo.  Come on bad luck, look the other way.
