Pigs Fly and Swine Flew

Welcome to my first blog of 2010.

We had a good Christmas, or rather we were having a good Christmas until I came down with what the doctors called “flu-like symptoms”.  It fitted with what swine flu sounds like so that’s what I’m telling everyone I had. Regardless I spent over a week in bed with neither the energy nor the will to do pretty much anything.

So basically the only gaming I’ve done in three weeks was on my DS.  I tried out a few games and have to say I enjoyed Phoenix Wright although it was a little taxing so I alternated with Pokemon Pearl which was about the right intellectual level for me. I also managed to finish The World Ends With You before Christmas. I would seriously recommend that game to anyone interested in JRPGs.

In my last blog I spoke about a new Pawn Shop that opened where I live. I’ve managed to pick up a used Xbox with one controller for €45. It’s a bit pricey but a lot cheaper than postage would cost if I got it on ebay.  Having never owned one before I was amazed how heavy they are.  I now have this, two PS2s and my Dreamcast hooked up to my SDTV.
