Patience is a Virtue

Unless you are waiting to hear if you get a bonus and raise.

We are supposed to find that information out today.

Here's the deal.  I haven't had a raise (aka - merit increase) in over 2 years.  Nor have I had a promotion.  Nor have we gotten a bonus.

In the 5.5 years I've worked here, I've received 2 merit increases.  Now, I should be grateful, but our salary / raises don't keep up with inflation / cost of living.

So, without a merit increase / raise each year, we actually start to make less and lose more money per paycheck.

That's why I'm impatient.  Our bonus can be up to 10% of our salaries, and I could sure use that money.  Of course,  I would like the merit increase as well.

Bah.

I hate waiting.  Especially when a friend in another group already got the news as to what he is getting.  9.6% bonus and 3% raise.  I can only hope mine is close to that.
