Parent's of the Year Award

And the Parent's of the year award goes to: "people we know but  will remain nameless"


Here is the story as told to me.  Names have been changed to protect the guilty.


"Jimmy" stayed with us last Wednesday (New Year’s Eve!) and Thursday nights because his parents got 6 tickets to the Gator Bowl. They took both Mother and Father in Law, "Misty" and of course "Luke" but LEFT "JIMMY"HOME!!! Jimmy said to me, “Misty is the oldest and Luke is the favorite.” Can you even imagine?? Either buy another ticket or leave one of the InLaws home! I can’t believe they left one of their children – the one who loves sports the most – at home alone! One of the nights he was going to stay at another friend’s house but ended up at ours and I asked him if his mom knew his plans had changed and he said, “she doesn’t care as long as she’s not around me.”


Good job Parents.  One of these days "Jimmy" is going to do something crazy and you are going to say, "Were did we go wrong?"

Nice.\r \r Next time, take him to the fire station. Tell the guys there what happened. If they're anything like our fire fighters, they'll let the kid slide down the pole and pretend to drive the truck.\r \r Then take him to Chuckie Cheeze to party his brains out.\r \r Then tell him to announce at the dinner table when he goes home that Uncle Blarg said he was glad the parents didn't leave the other two kids with him because he things they smell funny.
