Or not...

Well, it looks like the grad school loan payments are going to be a bit more than we had thought.  My dreams of a new car are disappearing before my eyes.  We spent most of the weekend evaluating our financial mortality and we realized if I start making car payments, our margin for error would be way too thin.  So, now we are trying to figure out how long a 1995 civic with 147,000 miles will last.  Damn, I hate that car.

Same car, similar circumstances. Keep up on the little maintenance jobs and it'll keep you rolling! The little buggers are damn near bulletproof. I've got a green 4 door that I have to flog to get on the freeway, but it's awesome, in a low-ego-emmissions sort of way!

My first car was as old as I was at the time.\r \r Just keep up on the regular maintenance and it'll run.\r \r How much would you get for it trade-in? Or even selling it and using that money towards a down-payment or something?
