One of these weekends...

...I'll experience a "normal" weekend. I don't think I've ever had a weekend in the past 10-15 years that I could consider "normal". Guess I'll know it when I see it.

Anyways, Saturday night / Sunday morning, I was basically up all night cleaning up after my cat. He puked probably 8-10 times throughout the night. Not only did his gagging wake me up, but I'd go and clean the crap up before it could soak into our carpet, or dry on the laminate.

Our cat is not a "counter-surfer". Meaning, he doesn't eat anything that is just laying around. He sticks to his food, and will sometimes eat lettuce we give him when we have salad for dinner.

So, this had me worried. I remembered that he had been chewing on one of my daughter's hair bands Friday evening. Sure enough, one of the piles had pieces of rubber in it. This concerned me, as a band such as that can bind up an animal's bowels and cause serious complications.

Thankfully, my sister worked as a Vet Tech for a number of years, and I gave her a call Sunday morning. She gave me some advice and we just waited it out. If he continued to throw-up into Monday morning, a visit to the tech would be in order.

Thankfully, he finally threw up the entire hair band around noon. After that, he threw up one more time, but has been good to go since. Thanks sis!

Incident #2 happened last night. I was carrying my daughter to bed, and I planted my right foot down with my leg next to her bed. I didn't realize that my leg was contacting her bed sideways, and I bent over to lay the little one into her bed. FARK! I think I hyper-extended my knee. It hurts like a bitch now. With my luck, it'll be something torn. Just what I need. Almost a month since I tore the miniscus in my left leg, I do something to my right.

Old age sucks.
