New Avatar
I got some encouragement yesterday to change my blog avatar and so I have. This picture is part of the Jim Warren collection. I'm working on a new background now.
I got into my first Shadowrun private match last night thanks to Soup. It was a blast but a little over my skill level. I was in a solo match playing an elf and got the invite and forgot to change races. Actually, things happened so fast I forgot a lot of things. The first match I was killed very quickly by eggman. Actually, I must have been an easy target for him in most matches.
I could only stay on for half an hour and it went quickly. But, if no one minds an ubern00b on their team, I could use the experience in trying out differnt combinations to see what works best with my style of playing (you know, playing dead
)
In other news, I had to quit running for awhile, my knee is hurting. This really blows since I was working on doubling my distance. So, I must have pushed to far too soon. I'll just rest for a couple of days and start over again. Although the way the wind has been blowing here yesterday and today, I don't really mind taking a break.
I went out to the barn yesterday and took the filly out. I can tell she is getting attention from someone else. She was fairly attentive and was a lot calmer walking to the round pen. I did a short lesson since the wind would occasionally blow up her tail and she would spook. So, I left her in the round pen to work out her wind demons.
My father-in-law has built a set of shelves for my dresser to house the xbox, games, dvd player and my jewelry box and they will be bringing it by today. I'm excited. He does a wonderful job. He has already built us a butcher block and a rolling pantry that fits beside the refrigerator. Nice solid oak wood and finish. Oh, I almost forgot the medicine cabinet he just finished with three mirrored doors.
