Need a little help

The tv got delivered earlier than promised (YES!) and fuck, its massive. Almost too big for the tiny living room I have. Almost. ;) Looks like a frigging movie screen in scale to everything else. Setup was easy enough, I just now dug out a cable to hook it up to the 'net so I'll be doing that in a bit. Picture is sweet, any apprehension I had over this purchase is gone. Since the set is so much bigger than my last one I had to get longer HDMI and optic cables (some of the other HDMI cables fit ok), I took some pictures on the phone but for whatever reason it looks smaller in the pic than it does in person:

As you can see the area is a bit torn apart again, and as you also probably noticed by the right front speaker sits my Kinect. There is the problem, and I need some help if anyone has any ideas.

I bought the stand that you mount to the back of your set for the Kinect. On the old set it fit like a glove, no worries. On this set the holes on the back are too small for the screws that came with the bracket. I ran out to both Ace and Home Depot and the best I could come up with were a couple screws that were too long and too narrow to fit. So what do I do here? I don't have room at the front of the set to place the unit. I could go ahead and wall mount the tv, but not sure I want to do that. Not the sturdiest of walls in that spot, plus I'm kind of paranoid of the whole wall mount thing anyway.

Any ideas? Talked to the manager at the Gamestop I go to and thats the only set mount he knows of. I considered wall mounting the Kinect above the set but that might be too high up to do.

I went the cheap and easy route. I bought some strips of velcro, put a strip on the top of the TV and a strip on the bottom of the kinect sensor. Works perfectly

The tv is a bit narrow/thin, but that is an interesting idea. The width of the tv is another issue, its about twice as thin as my old one. Thats not bad though, I like the idea thanks. I'll go check out some velcro later this morning. :)\r \r Btw, thats Sacred 2. I was running my TG through the dragon realm there.

Yeah, my TV is pretty thin on top, about 2inches wide. \r The strips I have are only about an inch wide. I should probably throw an other strip on there, but it's holding just fine.... and I don't mess that up

we used double sided foam tape to secure ours to the top of the TV and haven't had any problems.

Awesome, sounds like thats my plan then. Thanks guys, I'll grab some tape/velcro in a bit (maybe both to be safe!) and let you know how it turned out.

Kinect's ideal height is 6 feet off the ground. Since you're stand mounting your TV, it looks like you've got plenty of height there if you wanted to mount the kinect on the wall.
