My Weekend

I watched a ton of football this weekend...mostly college but some pro. There are two teams that impressed me.

Bama.
The Tide has Saban, but let's be realistic, he's a great coach but not some mystical being, contrary to what some Bama fans believe. I expected the Tide to have a decent season and maybe finish with a 7-5 record. There's still a long way to go, but right now, things are looking good with a win over a ranked Arkansas team and moving to No.16 in the poll. Roll Tide.

Gators.
The defending champions were suppose to field a good team this year but I hadn't bought the Tebow kool-aide until this weekend. With a 59-20 route of Tennessee and 600 all-purpose yards,  I don't see another team in the East knocking them off. I can't wait for the LSU v. Florida game.

In addition to football, I caught Varsity Blues on this weekend and decided to watch it again.

James Van Der Beek is one of the worst actors I've ever seen. He is also non-athletic, making him an awful sell as a high-school quarterback.
The film does have its redeeming qualities as Ali Larter steals the scene with her Whip Cream bikini (shaving cream if you're keeping score).
