Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later, but on Christmas Day? Really? I went to fire up my 360 for some Holiday Gaming and what do I find but Christmas Cheer in the form of the Dreaded Red Ring of Death. My first and only 360 has finally kicked the bucket. No new games for me for 3 - 4 weeks. View Image Looks like I will get some time to catch up on my classic gaming. Good thing I have multiple systems to toy with.


 


Oh well, Merry Christmas to all (except me that is).

check out my video in off topic forum about fixing the red ring of death. I did it and it worked. Only cost $5 and took 1 hour. I got the bolts and washers and home depot and the thermospaste at radio shack.

Flywalker, I would love to try that, but the brick is still under warantee and I don't want to fubar that, so back to Microsucks it goes.

My 360 died 10 days before Christmas. I was majorly upset that I would be without mine over the holiday. But on the bright side, it was an original launch 360 and it lasted for a good while before it RROD'd. Here's to hoping it comes back to you soon!

I feel your pain, I've killed mine around thanksgiving two years in a row.\r \r Any other failure and a fix it yourself approach would make sense, but with the RRoD, the best approach is to ship it back and get it fixed, then sell it to gamestop and buy a new Jasper. :) (well that last part is optional)
