Has there been more flooding in the US in general in the last few years? Crazy stuff.

Did you see that all of the sewage from Clarksville is ending up in the Cumberland because their waste treatment plant is down?

It's a shame. Where's all the tv footage and benifits for Nashville? Guess that's just what \"Whitey\" deserves eh?

Heh, same thing in Iowa in the past couple of year Azure. Cedar Rapids flooded out, as well as some other towns. They got some federal disaster money, but after a day or two the news coverage disappeared almost entirely.\r \r Then again, when the flooding was coming and they said to evacuate, people got the fuck out like they were told to do.

That's just the thing. Nobody new it was going to be as bad as it was. Plus the flooding was so widespread, there was nowhere to evacuate to.

We live near Memphis and it came on so fast that no one expected it. We had more than 17 inches of rainfall in a matter of hours. Our town was literally cut off from all outside help overnight since every road out of town was impassable.\r \r We live near the top of a hill so we didn't have any flood damage but a lightning strike did take out a bunch of electronics here. We were very lucky because a great deal of people lost everything they owned.\r \r Once again, not a single report of looting in our area and people have been steadily working to help each other.
