More mail box excitement.

Open the mail box after getting home and it's some junk flyer and letter. In the dark I look at the letter to see if it's of any interest or just credit spam.

Oh dear. King County Prosecuting Attorney. I don't think this is going to be as good as the letter from the IRS. [View Image]

So I get up to the house and open it up. There's the date... There's my name(middle name too!) and address... Case number... Crime: Driving While Under The Influence. [View Image]

Holy Shits Batman! DUI ?!

Did I get pulled over and was too smashed to remember it? Can't be. I'm too cheap to buy more than a beer, or three, at any venue or drinking establishment, and I have a lifetime supply of Tequila here at home. So what the hell is this?

Oh, witness letter huh? I guess it's from the motorcycle accident from a bit back. It's a damn shame.

Well, I guess I'll see where this goes...

I'm in a similar situation. A year ago, saw a guy swerve off the road in my rearview after passing him because he was obviously drunk. When he hit the bridge support, I pulled over to call 911. Now, this November, I have to go testify in court because he's arguing it wasn't his fault. Sounds like he's got a long history of DUI, so this is just a last-ditch effort to save his driving license.
