Mmmm.... Hamburgers: Ultimate Condiment

J
J-Cat

I implore you to just give it a try. By far and away, my new fav condiment on burgers (cheeseburgers too) is...

Peanut Butter.

Yes: sue me. I loves me PB on my burgers. It fills the same role as mayo, but with more of that peanutty taste you have been missing from your burgers.  My husband is trying to instigate a "no moer than 2 wierd (i.e. non-Harveys) condiments on a burger at any one time" rule. I say if loving PB on my burgers is wrong I don't want ot be right.

I have also finished writing another editorial for the stie I write for. It's about Japanese vs Western RPGs.

If you want to: please enjoy the article.

I also appreciated all the feedback from my last blog, and from Doodi's as well.

so ya: srsly: PB on burgers. Tasty fricking goodness.

Oh wow! I love peanut butter. And I love burgers. But I don't think I could love a PB burger. That ranks as the strangest food combination I've ever heard of. Right up there with the bacon chocolates my husband bought me once...(they were gross). \r

i did too until i tried it. However, pb on a hamburger just doesn't sound appetizing. mixing burger grease and peanut butter sounds like a Fear Factor stunt.

PB on burgers huh? Is that a Canadian thing? I like to be adventurous with food and try new things, but I just don't think I can bring myself to try that. Glad you like it though. You should try sausage in your cereal. ;)

okay: let me explain it this way: PB is thick, fatty and tasty... just like mayo... see it works the same way, it fulfills the same conidment niche.\r \r like green olives instead of pickles!

I knew someone who put PB and mayo on their burgers. They tried to get me to try it but I would only go for the PB part. It's actually pretty good. You need to get over the wtf factor and just try it.

From the menu of the TripleXXX Family Restaurant in West Lafayette, Indiana:\r -------------\r The Duane Purvis All-American - A very special taste treat!\r \r 1/4 lb. of 100% ground sirloin served on a toasted sesame bun with melted cheese on top with lettuce, tomato, pickle, Spanish onion and French fries. Add thick creamy peanut butter on the lower deck and you're in for the touchdown!\r --------------\r \r Crazy Hoosiers.

Doesn't sound completely offensive to me. The only way I can get one of my daughters to eat is by putting peanut butter on stuff -- chicken is a regular, her new favorite though is fish sticks smothered in peanut butter. Maybe it's a Canadien thing?? The last time I was up there I had french fries smothered in turkey gravy and melted cheese...wasn't half bad either.
