Mid-Fall TV

Well, we are about half-way through the fall and I've almost given up on most of the new TV shows.  Blah.  Blah.  Blah.

Fading Fast

1.  Pushing Daisies - This show isn't actually blah.  I had to drop it because the wife and I basically decided we just didn't have time for it.  It really is a creative show, but it just didn't hook us like we thought it would.

2.  Cavemen - Oh dear god.  What a train wreck this show is.  I've only watched about 10 minutes worth, but I already had negative thoughts of this show, and that 10 minutes didn't remove those thoughts.

3.  Carpoolers - This show was placed after Cavemen.  Mistake.  Typically, shows are placed after another show in hopes of riding the other show's wave of success.  Instead, this one will most likely get swallowed into the black hole that Cavemen is creating.

4.  Samantha Who - This show is actually funny and appears right after Dancing With the Stars which gives it a good boost since DWTS continues to ride high with good ratings.  But, not enough to maintain my interest.

5.  Bionic Woman - Just not interested.

6.  Reaper - First couple of episodes were good, but then it got repetitive.

7.  Chuck - Again, not interested.  What's with all the Geek shows?

Riding High

1.  Heroes - Still #1 in my book, but it isn't as strong as it was last year.  Hopefully the story will develop better.

2.  The Unit - Yeah, I know, it's a popcorn show, but it's still a good one.

3.  Life - So far, so good.  Character and story are both still developing and the side stories keeps it interesting.

4.  Dancing With The Stars - I can't believe I'm actually listing this, but I watch it with my daughter, who loves dancing.  Besides, the professional female dancers are frigging HAWT!

5.  Dexter - I'm behind on this one.  I just dropped HBO last week and signed up for Showtime for 3 free months.  Last night's episode was really good, so I'll have to backtrack and watch the episodes I've missed.

6.  Brotherhood - This is what The Sopranos should have been, and actually was at the beginning.  The Irish Mob in Rhode Island.  2 Brothers, 1 legit, and 1 a big gangster.  The ties that bind a family together are examined thoroughly.  Brutal, viscious, and downright violent.  A pretty good show.  I'm behind on this one as well, and still need to finish last season before I start on this season.

Coming Soon:
Jericho
Lost

Heroes is the only thing I have time for or care to watch. When season 2 of The Tudors and Flight of the Conchords rolls back...I'm there.

For some reason my husband thinks Caveman is hilarious. He recorded it on my Tivo and made me watch it...I fell asleep. It's stupid...\r \r I'm into Bionic Woman - but it's no Heroes...The only other show that I've picked up new that I really like is \"Hot Shots\". It's like Sex and the City but with men.

I can't wait for lost. Hopefully they won;t make the writers won't make the same mistake as they did last season at the start off the show. It lost ratings so fast ABC was in the talks of pulling the show.
