Memorial Day Wishes (Personal Post)

M
Maxxie

I know today is a day to honor those who have fallen in the course of battle, but it is hard for me not to acknowledge all who accept this risk and serve actively in our armed forces too.

So to those who gave their lives in the course of service - thank you seems a shallow word in light of what you have given, but it's the best I have to offer. To those family, friends and philanthropists that support those who serve or have served or fallen - thank you.

To those who have served or continue to do so - thank you. And thank you for honoring those who came before you by your choices and actions.

...A special thanks to my dad and all those who served or fell in the Forgotten War (Korea not Half-Life!). Actually to any who may feel she/he has been part of a "forgotten conflict" - thank you so much for all your efforts. You are not forgotten by those with a heart to remember or a mind to know.

Best,

A Proud Daughter

Thanks for the thoughtful post. I spent 13 months in Korea up near the DMZ, north of the Imjin River, after your dad's service (1964-65). I don't know how your dad and the others were able to fight there, especially during the winter. Give him my regards.
